How We Started
Our investment research program started in 2020 during the pandemic by our founder Jeffrey Derose. As we all know during the COVID-19 pandemic there was a huge boom in trading by the average American, especially in communities of color. As a seasoned professional, our founder just wanted to make sure he taught his friends the basics of investing and trading so that they can be successful in the market and not lose their money. What started as roughly 5 people on a zoom call has translated into over 150 students who have piloted our programs and 10’s of thousands of impressions on social media of people who are looking to learn more about investing in the stock market. With the success and positive feedback from our students, we now want to create an official organization dedicated to teaching investment literacy at scale!
About Us
The Fundamental Trading Group is an organization dedicated to helping communities of color build generational wealth through investment education. We provide a 9-week program that teaches the basics of fundamental investing and economics. We believe that teaching people how to thoroughly investigate a company, industry, or economy, people will be able to make better informed decisions, which will lead to successful investing. Our program is for both active traders and long-term investors. To go along with our program, we feature a mentor network of industry experts and a supportive community that shares ideas and grows with each other.
